Clockwork Car

Clockwork car in Meccano. Period model using nickel-plated parts from the 1920's

This Horse and Chariot model was built from plans in the March 1965 Meccano Magazine.  It is in fact one of the models designed by the Hungarian Meccanoman Andreas Konkoly, who has probably produced more original model plans than anyone else.

Carb

Meccano crab.  When the motor is turned on the model scurries from side to side to the great delight of children of all ages. 'I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across the floors of silent seas.' T.S. Eliot, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.
