BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LLOYD'S JEEP
by Lloyd Spackman
Start with a 51/2 x 21/2 Flat Plate. At each corner bolt a P/N 12 1/2 x 1/2 Angle Bracket, the other lug pointing up and sideways. Bolt a 51/2 Flat Girder through its slot holes to the P/N 12. The Flat Plate is thus halfway up the Flat Girders. The round holes below carry 31/2 Axles for the 1" Pulleys Wheels (plus Tyres).

At the REAR fix a P/N 48a 21/2 x 1/2 Double Angle Strip on the same Bolts that hold the Flat Girder. These Bolts also hold the rear round hole of a 11/2 Flat Girder each side. Join their rear slot holes by another P/N 48a. In front of them are a pair of 1" Flat Girders also bolted to the side girders. Alternatively, use a 21/2 Flat Girder each side.
For the SEAT bolt two P/N 12 to the floor at the outer 4th holes from the rear. Bolt a 21/2 Flat Girder vertically to them. Bolt two more P/N 12 to another 21/2 Flat Girder, then bolt them to the vertical Flat Girder to form the seat.
THE BONNET: Bolt Fishplates vertically to each 51/2 Flat Girder at the 4th holes from the front. Bolt a P/N 48a across between them. At the 1st and 3rd holes from the front bolt four more Fishplates vertically and to them bolt a 21/2 x 11/2 Flanged Plate.

The front of the bonnet is another 21/2
Flat Girder held by P/N 12 top and bottom. Before fixing this, bolt on to it two
yellow 1/2 Pulleys for the headlamps. Also two 1/2
Reversed Angle Brackets one hole in from the lower edge, each side, to hold the
front bumper which is double 31/2 Narrow Strips.
At the rear, bolt two more P/N 125 one hole in from each end of the lower P/N 48a. These carry the rear bumper, also doubled 31/2 Narrow Strips.
Use a 3/4" Bolt to fix a fifth Pulley with tyre centrally to the upper rear P/N 48a.
A Hinge on each side holds the windscreen to the crosswise P/N 48a.
Bolt a 1" x 1/2 Obtuse Angle Bracket in under the bonnet to support a 1" Pulley without boss for a steering wheel.
For the MUDGUARDS, bolt a P/N 12 to the upper holes of the 51/2 Flat Girder at holes 1, 3, 7 and 11 from the front, each side. Bolt 1" x 1/2 and 1" x 1" Angle Brackets to the P/N 12, overlapping at the top, but not bolted there. Make sure the mudguards clear the tyres.
The radio aerial is a short piece of Spring Cord held in a Rod Socket which is bolted to the rear hole of the mudguard.

A machine gun mounting and a gun could be fixed in a corner
of the rear luggage space.
