The images on this page are a subjective collection of images of various Meccano \ Erector models that I like.

The "King" nods and lunges in and out alternatively....the wings
move/flap through an arc of about 45 degrees. That is the extent of the
animation. The model does not move forward in any way, the legs are firmly
fixed to the body. Later, he may introduce some " dragline " type walking
motion to it. It went together quite well, some difficulty coping with
the
allegedly 1 1/8" bolts which are about 1/16" short. Extra 4mm brass washers had
to be omitted frequently. The paint on the parts is excellent. It's quite an
impressive model, stands over 65cm tall overall.
